Cicada Tote Bag 2024, Screenprinted Canvas Knitting Bag

Hello 2024 cicadas! Broods XIX and XIII are coming! This is the first time these two broods will co-emerge since 1803 and it won't happen again for another 221 years. A pretty big deal for cicada fans!

This detailed illustration was created from a photo I took during the Brood X emergence of 2021.

This detailed Cicada portrait has been screen printed onto an unbleached cotton tote bag in black ink and hand colored with those bright red eyes. Tote bag is sturdy and prefect for lugging a few books, gym clothes or a light trip to the grocery. Would also make an awesome purse or pool bag for summer!

The Details:
- Tote is unbleached, 100% cotton - a creamy, ivory shade
- Measures approximately 15" x 15", handles are 10" drop
- Thick canvas tote
- Printed with water-based non-toxic inks
- Ink has been carefully heat set but some fading/softening of image may still occur
- Hand screen printed with my original image in small batches in my studio in Baltimore, MD

Proper Care:
- spot clean only
